BNI 5th Annual Wine Pairing Gala for CKNW Orphan's
Fund

Food, wine, friends, guests, celebrities and fashion strolled in the gardens and halls of the prestigious Hycroft
Manor on June 11, 2009
in support of the CKNW Orphan's Fund. The guests were treated to local wineries pairing their new wines with the
great food of Emelle's Catering,
music provided by Hot Wax Mobile Music. The glorious up do hairstyles were created by Poppy Hair Boutique and
makeup by Angela Murphy of Mary Kay.
The wonderful theme of Shakespeare’s Midsummer Nights Dream was showcase by young actress and actor to
everyone's delight in prelude to the fashion show by Malene Grotrian Creative Designer from Denmark living in
Vancouver; introducing her Summer 2009 collection, adorned with the jewelry collections of Isabella Diamond of
Much Ado About Nothing Designs local Richmond designer; and Jewellery Artists 3D David Penner's designs in
gold, silver and diamonds of Vancouver. The models shined in resplendent luxury with four of Malene's creations
even enhancing and taking the Hycroft Manor back to it's early glory days when the grand staircase showcased
women wearing regal ball gowns, in rich silks, vibrant colours, corseted and feathered to captivate and beguile as
did the well known faces who stepped into view in the timeless modern versions in tonight's gala event.
Fun was had by all with the benefits going to the CKNW Orphan's Fund.

numbered and signed with Isabella's signature tag attached to the necklace. This Limited Edition was donated to the CKNW Orphan's Fund at the
BNI 5th Annual Wine Pairing Gala. The beautiful black 'Larvikite' gemstones with silver crystalline striations capture and reflect the light are from
Norway.
